Upcoming volunteer projects/events:
~We could use another member or two on the fundraising committee whose chief responsibilities are our annual spring fundraiser and our winter capital campaign. The next meeting of this committee is Jan. 30th at 5PM at our HQ on King St.
~We also need another volunteer or two for the Voter Outreach Committee which is responsible for everything from voter registration, to Get our the vote (GOTV) events of all kinds. Next meeting is Jan. 27th at 430PM at our HQ on King St.
~We need a new member for the Vida Miller Scholarship Committee.
~We need voter registration volunteers who can put in a couple of hours once a week, mostly on Saturdays at our kiosks around the county.
~We need poll-watchers for the Sheriff Election on Feb. 4 and for the Presidential Primary on Feb. 29. Training provided.
~We need office staff for 3 hour shifts on varying days. If interested, I can give you the schedule with the times that are open.
~We will need phone banking people for Feb. 26-29 for GOTV calls and to assist candidate campaign staff with their staging & launching as needed. We provide a guideline script. Call from home or from HQ.
~Finally, we often need assistance at special events, such as a candidate town hall. These are usually 1-day notice.
