The Vida Miller Scholarship is awarded each spring to a rising college freshman. Students from all county public high schools are invited to submit an essay on a topic provided. The entries are evaluated by a team of judges from fields of academia, civil service, and printed press. The winner is awarded a $1000 scholarship to use as needed for their freshman year expenses.
